How a broken-down Tamaraw FX became the inspiration for RoadHero
"How many drivers go through the same ordeal? What if roadside assistance could be affordable, fast, and trustworthy?"
Elijah's passion for cars began at home. At 18, he inherited his father's unfinished project car—a modified Tamaraw FX. But this wasn't your typical Toyota; its body was custom-built by skilled Filipino tinsmiths, so thick and durable that it could withstand even bullets. Originally gasoline-powered, later converted to diesel, the Tamaraw carried years of his father's hard work—crafted with love but limited by a teacher's modest salary.
When his father suffered a stroke, Elijah took responsibility for the Tamaraw. One day, while running errands, the car broke down due to a faulty alternator. Stranded and struggling financially, Elijah waited for a mechanic friend to help. Before the repair could arrive, a traffic enforcer threatened to have the car impounded, forcing Elijah to pay a bribe just to keep his father's beloved car safe.
That moment changed everything. While waiting, Elijah asked himself: How many drivers go through the same ordeal? From that experience, RoadHero was born—envisioning a network of mechanics ready to respond quickly to breakdowns, making roadside assistance accessible to everyone, especially middle-class car owners with secondhand vehicles.

Today, Elijah carries forward this mission with the same grit and resilience his father showed in building that Tamaraw FX. A graduate of STI College with a major in Mobile App and Web Development, he is now the Chief Marketing Officer of a respected Harvard-trained law firm in Massachusetts, a Bible-believer, and a proud advocate for mechanics everywhere.
